Contact lens care
Respect your contact lens schedule (2 weeks, 1 month, 1 year). Extending the wear of lenses can lead to serious complications, such as infections, ulcers, or blindness.
- Unless otherwise advised by your optometrist, it is not recommended to sleep with your contact lenses in.
- Before handling your lenses, wash your hands with soap that ideally does not contain moisturizer. You should also dry your hands thoroughly before handling them.
- When storing your lenses, rub them with the recommended solution after removing them.
- Do not allow your lenses to come into contact with tap water.
- Every night, empty and rinse your case completely; do not reuse the same solution.
- Replace your case regularly to avoid contamination.
- If you go swimming, wear goggles or avoid contact between the water and your eyes. Keep your eyes closed in the shower. In a spa, try not to get water in your eyes, as it can be a source of contamination.
- If you have a red, irritated, or painful eye, remove your lenses immediately and make an appointment with your optometrist, especially if the problem persists.
- Always store your contact lenses at room temperature. Be careful not to leave your contact lenses in the car, where they can freeze or overheat.
- It is strongly recommended that you have your eyes examined every year to ensure the health of your ocular surface before renewing your contact lens prescription.
