Care
- Wear your contacts only for the period of time recommended (2 weeks, a month, a year). Wearing your contacts longer than recommended could lead to serious complications (infections, ulcers, blindness, etc.).
- It is not recommended to sleep with your contact lenses, unless specifically indicated by your optometrist.
- Before inserting your contact lenses, wash your hands with mild cream-free soap and dry them completely.
- When you remove and store your contact lenses, clean them with the recommended disinfecting solution.
- Do not rinse your contact lenses with tap water.
- Every night, you should rinse off and clean your case; do not use the same solution twice.
- Replace your contact lenses case on a regular basis in order to prevent contamination.
- Remove your contact lenses or wear goggles if you decide to go swimming. Keep your eyes closed in the shower. In a hot tub, make sure water does not get in your eyes (contaminating source).
- If your eye becomes red, scratchy or you feel any pain, take your contact lenses off and call your optometrist, especially if your condition worsens.
- Always store your contact lenses at room temperature. Be careful not to leave your contact lenses in the car, as they could freeze or overheat.
- It is strongly recommended to have your eyes examined every year to evaluate their condition before renewing your contact lenses prescription.
